Boomhauer's womanizing brother Patch rolls into Arlen in a Saab convertible to marry Katherine (Laura Dern), Boomhauer's old flame. Boomhauer quits as best man and Hank steps in, assuming Boomhauer is sabotaging the wedding, until it becomes clear Patch is the one sneaking around. When Patch blurts out the truth, Katherine hands back the ring and calls off the engagement. Patch is left humiliated but alive.
Season 8 premiere, aired November 2, 2003. Pitt, a fan of the show, pitched the idea of voicing Boomhauer's brother; the character speaks in the same Boomhauer mumble.
