Cocky psycho drag racer Billy rolls into town to goad Sheriff Joe Garrett, secretly the legendary racer 'Iceman', into one last race. When Joe refuses, Billy seduces and then kidnaps his daughter Carey to force him behind the wheel. In the midnight race Billy slams into a digger parked in the road and dies in a fireball while Joe wins.
