On August 8, 1969, Cliff, tripping on an acid-dipped cigarette, is walking Brandy the pit bull when three Manson Family members break into Rick Dalton's house instead of Sharon Tate's. Cliff sics Brandy on Tex, stomps him to death, and after Katie stabs him in the hip he smashes her face in with a can of dog food and anything else within reach; Rick torches the third intruder with a flamethrower. Cliff is loaded into an ambulance alive, joking with Rick, while Rick gets invited up to Sharon Tate's house for a drink.
Won Pitt the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
